User Guide

This is a guide to enable user get up to speed with our platform’ usage and to enhance user’s understanding of navigating the application, we created Giveaway with the user's perspective in mind. Understanding that Easy navigation means easy service, and this guide provides you with just that easy touch you need for guide!

In other to use the platform a user is required to be registered, by registering you agree to our user Terms and Conditions. On the registration page user will be required to complete the fields as listed below to register.

  1. Enter First Name
  2. Enter Last Name
  3. Enter User Name
  4. Enter Email
  5. Select Country Code
  6. Enter Mobile No
  7. Enter Password (combination of Upper and lower case, number and a special character from @! $ & )
  8. Confirm password
  9. Select Currency
  10. Select ID Type
  11. Enter Location (House No., street, city, state and country)
  12. Click on Capture
  13. Click on Check box I agree to Terms and Conditions.

    Complete all the above field and then click on signup button to get successfully registered and confirmation message should be shown and redirected to the dashboard and gets access to all the features.

To login, User can login from the point as show on the image and entering their valid credentials in following steps.

  1. Enter the valid login credential.
  2. Enter captcha.
  3. Click on login button

On successful signup and login, user is usually by default logged in as a buyer, in this user mode, user can only function as a buyer to buy products of all kinds and varieties but will not have access to other user handles such as the seller, service provider & service requests. User will have to switch from buyer mode to a desired mode in other to access features in that mode.

The buyer dashboard is designed with features such as Orders, Saved Products, Bank Detail, Chat, Notifications and Profile Settings in the application.

Buyer dashboard/ My Order

  1. New: Purchasing the order, the product should display in the New section on the Buyer Dashboard page.
  2. Completed: After the order is processed successfully then the same product can be seen in the completed section.
  3. Cancelled: After the order is cancelled due to any reason then it shows up in the Cancelled section.

  4. Saved Products: When products are saved then it should show the products in Saved section for ordering later.
  5. Bank Detail: User can save the bank details in this section for future payment while ordering the products.
  6. Chat: In this section all the chats which are done between the user and any Seller will display.
  7. Notifications: In this section, all the notifications regarding the ordered products show.
  8. Profile Settings: User can edit and manage/update profile details like name, Address, etc. details from the section.

Making a purchase

By default, users are limited to only local shopping from their neighborhood community, to shop for products outside your neighborhood, you’ll have to change your zip code through your user profile found in your dashboard, just as shown here

In same manner if you decide to shop internationally, you’ll need to change your country location, note that once you change your country location, you’ll be subjected to making payment in the local currency of that country.

  1. Choosing shipping address: Users will have to choose a shipping address upon checkout, if you wish to receive your delivery at a different address from the original listed address, user will have to either edit current address or input a new address as illustrated here:
  2. Choosing delivery type: Vendors sometimes post products for either pick up, Free shipping or Paid shipping, its important to note how the vendor delivers purchases before checkout. Delivery types are illustrated here:
  3. Choosing shipping service: Users do have the option of choosing which shipping service that is best convenient for delivery of purchase, note the shipping service amounts and delivery time frame:
  4. Making returns: Users have the option to return purchases within 8 days of purchase either by dropping off the item(s) at the vendors or shipping item(s) back to vendor, to make a return user would have to click the return item button as shown in the image here and follow the promptings to complete the return for either exchange or refund pending on the vendors sales policy.

User can add any product & its details which user wants to Sell and display it for the Buyers from Seller user profile. This Seller profile is having features such as Orders, Add Products, My Wallet, Bank Detail, Products, Chat, Notifications, Subscription Plans, Subscribed Plan and Profile Settings in the application.

Seller Dashboard/ Orders

  1. New section: Product details along with the User details who have ordered the product will show in this section. Also Accept and Reject buttons will show at the bottom to confirm or Cancel the order from the Buyer.
  2. In Progress:  Product details along with the User details whose ordered product are under processing will show in this section.
  3. Completed: After the order is processed successfully then the same product can be seen in the completed section.
  4. Cancelled: if the order is cancelled due to any reason then it shows up in the Cancelled section.
  5. Returned: In case user has returned the product due to any reason then such product details with user details should show in this section.
  6. Refunded: Those products which were returned and received back by the Seller successfully and their paid amount is refunded back to the Buyer then such product details with user details should show in this section.

  7. Rejected: if the order is rejected due to any reason then it shows up in the rejected section.
  8. Add Products: Seller can add new product with its details from this section.

  9. My Wallet: All payout details like bank account, method of payment, amount etc. shows in this section. The seller wallet shows the sales made by that seller and payouts he has received.

  10. Bank Detail: User can save the bank details in this section for future payment while ordering the products.

  11. Products: Seller profile user can view all his/her added Products in this section. Also if user clicks the Seller name then it opens the Seller’s Store page where Seller can edit details and also view all products and add new products. When user clicks on more details of any product then it opens the product details page with Edit, Delete & share buttons.

  12. Chat: In this section all the chats which are done between the user and any Seller will display.
  13. Notifications: In this section, all the notifications regarding the ordered products show.
  14. Subscription Plans: It shows the different Subscription plans of this application with subscription tenure & price details for the user with Buy now button with each subscription plan.
  15. Subscribed Plan: In this section, it shows the user’s current subscribed plan.
  16. Profile Settings: User can edit and manage/update profile details like name, Address, etc. details from the section.

Posting a product

User will not be able to post more than one item and will be required to submit three pictures (not more, not less) of the item. To be able to post unlimited products and pictures user will have to subscribe a package

Product Requirements: Vendors are required to complete the inputs correctly as required in other to have the post look decent and in unison, as well completed post would look like this:

  1. Enter Product selling area (locally or internationally)
  2. Enter the product title
  3. Enter the Band name (If brand doesn’t appear among the list, you can easily type in a new brand name as desired)
  4. Enter the Sub-category
  5. Enter the sub sub-category
  6. Enter item quantity
  7. Enter item condition (Brand new, unboxed, no scratches, slightly scratched, scratched)
  8. Enter product type (New or used)
  9. Enter the shipping Type (Pickup, free shipping or paid shipping) NB; Free shipping entails that seller has indicated to cover shipping cost)
  10. Enter item size
  11. Enter item color
  12. Add images (Images should be clear and concise)
  13. Enter product description
  14. Enter original price (This should be the original price you’re offering the product for)
  15. Enter discount (This should be the percentage discount you’re will go give for that item)
  16. Enter Product specification (Enter multiple product specifications by clicking the add button)
  1. Picture requirement: User are only allowed to upload jpeg and PNG images. Images should be clear and concise upto 250KB.
  2. Description requirement: This should be short and direct. In the specification section user can add multiple specifications by click the add button and will be required to enter a name label for that specification and the corresponding description of that specification as relates to the product.
  3. Shipping: Vendors are required to add the exact weight and specifications of the items to be shipped to be able to calculate the accurate shipping rates.
  4. Receiving payouts: vendor wallet shows record of every item purchased, these amounts are calculated and paid into vendors designated account on a weekly basis; payouts are issued every week with respect to items successfully delivered in the previous week. E.g., if a seller dispatches products this week, will get paid for the products on the next week for products successfully delivered only. Payouts are highly dependent on successful delivery of purchase.
  1. Posting a service Service Provider can click on Add Services which redirects & opens the Add Service Details page which has various service detail fields including Service description field in which user can their service description for showing specifications of the Service. Once user has filled the details then on clicking Add Now button present at the bottom should post the Provider’s service.

  2. Setting appointment slots: Service Provider can add or edit the timings for service availability using Appointment Slots section which opens the Manage Time Slots page which has week days with Start & end time details.

  3. Confirming appointments: Service Provider dashboard will show the incoming service requests in new section. Then clicking on Details button will show Appointment details page with Accept request and Reject request buttons which shows at the bottom to confirm or Cancel the service request from the Service requester.

    When service is accepted then it will show in the Scheduled section. After the service is provided successfully then the same service can be seen in the completed section. In case if the service request is rejected due to any reason then it shows up in the Cancelled section.

  4. Confirming completion of service: After the service is provided successfully then the same service can be seen in the completed section once the Complete Request button which opens the pop up with comments textbox & Yes/No confirmation buttons.

  5. Receiving payouts: Service provider can view All payout details like bank account, method of payment, amount etc. which shows in the My Wallet section. Service provider’s wallet shows the sales made by that service provided and payouts he has received.
